Haunting Memories

Haunting Memories

A Poem by FlaLover
"

when the relationship is physically over but not emotionally over

"
The sun sets, ending the day and the night falls

Longing to be with you, my mind silently calls

Time passes slowly and my heart will not heal

Loneliness and sorrow are difficult to conceal

Haunting memories of you encase me with agitation

Now destined with a life of overwhelming desolation

Life is a long time. In my own life I have loved so many, many people and I've had more than my share of heartbreak. My advice is don't let disappointment break you. Keep trying, keep loving, keep doing the "right" thing when you know what it is. But I'd never want someone with me that did not want to be there. That isn't love but obsession and possession. And sometimes we have to let go of old memories to make new ones.
