Actors on a stage Paint on a canvas The walking dead among us How many come and how many go With the river's current we flow How many walk past the rose Without contemplating the stories it knows Changing as a river's stream So many forgetting to stop and dream Zombies going through the motion Rather than feeling through the emotion To grow is to change, instead of remaining the same Wild and free, the wind rustling the horse's mane Sunset over the ocean, bare feet in the sand Not alone, but in solitude, awakened I stand © 2014 FlamingPhoenix |
