It's a trapA Poem by FoxandtheSwordEvery day, I straighten my curls, Paint my lips with a perfect arch, Draw wings on my eyes, ~ Every day, Trying on shirt after shirt Seeing what makes me look the thinnest, Short skirts that leave little to the imagination, ~ But why? Since when did zero become such an important number, When did we start wasting paychecks to change our bodies, Why do we smother our faces in lies to feel pretty, Why can't we just accept that we are people, and our skin is our skin Regardless of it's color, it's flaws, it's scars, We are here to live and flourish, Not to deteriorate into nothing.
