If He had..

If Jesus had tattoos
our names and sins
etched upon his skin
would we love him just the same
 or crucify
 him once again

instead of loving one another
would we still judge our brother

 for his skin so dark or fair
 or for the clothes he wears

the addict for his deadly vice
the homeless for their hellish life

 if Jesus wore tattoos
 wouldn't he still be the same man
 inside

 showing his perfect and timeless love

I love how you expose how judgmental everyone is in this poem...Using Jesus and him having tattoos was a genius way of portraying how superficial appearance is and how it does not really mean anything if you have a beautiful soul. This is a great poem and the message is a powerful one that I can appreciate very much. Great Write!
