The Dream of Love

 

It's a remembered dream of his.
that we all with one another learn to live
without the hatred for our fellowman
to show compassion and understand

That we're all the same in the eyes of God above
Yes Dr. Martin Luther King had a dream of brotherly love

To share and care and not ostracize
to live in unity and harmonize
We're all the same just skin and bone
His spirit and energy set the tone

That we're all the same in In God's eyes
Yes, this dream should be remembered and realized.

No segregation in schools or buses
No seperate rules for you's or us'es
and water fountains don't know your name
we all have to drink water just the same.

Yes, a dream remembered still rings true
You're like me and I'm like you

Inequality is just not right
yet the injustices and indignities was the plight
of the Civil Right Movement of long ago
still this dream has far to go

Just be sure to remember this great man's words
as on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial were heard
His Name was Dr.Martin Luther King
and he spoke...'I Have A Dream....

Yes he had a wonderful dream and though there are still issues in this world we have come along way, just look the election to see that... how proud I am to know this nation is rising above color and seeing what's inside the man.
