Rain

Rain

A Poem by Fraser Murray
"

Oh wow, something which actually resembles poetry...

"
'One day at a time', they'll say
'You've got to keep on trying'
'There will be a change, some day'
Well i hope that 'change' is dying,
Cause I kicked out my own crutches,
Watched them fall out of my hands,
Only to realise that, deep inside,
I didn't ever want to stand.
There's no romance to this agony,
No beauty in the pain,
Just a sick, slow loss of sanity
And this endless, burning rain,
So I will step outside and face the sky,
As my features melt away
Until there's nothing left of who i am,
Nothing left of this mistake.

Great metre, sounds rhyming very carefully with similar, has a musical feel that balances as it should. Such an emotional touch to, seems to have a true story-line. Yes, poetry indeed!
