Leaving the pastA Poem by AndyTell me what you think, thanks. The rain softly drummed on the roof As I sat and looked out from the inside of my house I made sure to keep quiet as a mouse
Everyone was to sleep And the rain was all around I just tried not to make a sound
I made my way over to the door I had my bag and ready to leave I don't think my parents would ever believe...
Its never easy, and its never simple I told myself I'm done because they won't accept me as their son
I opened the door, ready to go I'm tired of putting on a stupid show I've tried it all, but nothing has worked
In hopes of leaving the past behind and the love I could never find because There is nothing I want to remember
There I was in the rain I saw myself in such shame I never really had a plan. so I just ran.
I ran far, far away Away from the nightmares that you have caused because in the end I know I will wake up to a dream
