Faded Dreams

Something I did for school. Its similiar to another poem, I followed its structure a bit.

What Happens when your dreams fade?

 

Do they drift away

Like everything you say?

 

Or do they hollow out

Like a crisp forest log?

 

Do they sit and wait

Like easy bait?

 

Do they melt into the ground

where they can never be found?

 

I imagine they sail across the sea

never able to return to me

 

Like a ship that was never meant to sail...

I enjoyed it! I like how its comprised of questions and then at the end its what you think happens to a faded dream. If that makes any sense at all haha. :)
