As you wish!

Does a wish really come true??

I wish I could watch the clear blue sky

The high rises block my view

My memorires of the sky are jarred

Tell me how it looks, will you?

I wish I could skip homework and hide

Out of the house I'd run and play

Our playground can nowhere be found

The greens have been replaced by grey!

I wish I could sleep in her lap

Oh!The way I cuddled up to her!

With passing years the warmth has faded

Now all day long I sit lonely in my arm chair!

I wish I could turn back my years

When a skinned knee was the only pain

Broken hearts dont bleed but ache a lot more

I wish I could be a child again!

Bring back my childhood, for my grandpa on his 99th birthday :)

Something about shifting the point of view with this question makes this piece more nostalgic (multidimensional might be a better word and less cliche). Brings in a second voice/perspective.
