The Song

She misses the point of the exercise...

The song came on the radio- and we started singing it.
Badly, it's true, but the attempt is what matters.

You claimed to love the song- but you didn't know it.
Not well enough to sing along, at any rate.

Yes, we make mistakes in singing it-
Moving stanzas around and mumbling the parts we don't understand.

You weren't able to join us- because you didn't know the song-
Hadn't taken it into yourself, made it a part of you, as inseparable as your soul.

We can't help you learn it, you must realize-
You have to write this song called Life.

For the record, the "We" and the "You" are two different things... :P

I mean, the other person of the "We" and the "You" are two different people.... :D

This one happened... almost exactly like I wrote it, with the exception of the last stanza... but 'I'm allowed to play with stuff like that and make it sound prettier :D
