I Am Miss Marianne Dashwood

This is just my feelings about senior year and my life right now. :D Marianne Dashwood is a character in Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen. She's very young, romantic and emotional.

My mind is constantly racing
Over a multitude of randomness.

My happiness knows no limits,
But my despair is equally as extreme.

One moment I am on top of the world,
Enjoying life and its small pleasures.

The next I am crying in bed, alone,
Waiting for the pain to leave and the world to end.

What can cause these ridiculous swings
In my feelings and emotions?

Perhaps it's the doing of senior year
And all the changes it is bringing.

However, one thought brings me solace
And soothes my ever-anxious mind.

I am Miss Marianne Dashwood
From Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility.

We are the same woman,
Both lovely and young.

She and I feel everything of this world
And keep it deep in our souls.

We are the same person
Separated by a few centuries...
