The Traveller

The Traveller

A Poem by SELF

A voice from the heart heard from the heavens

Whispers to me and says, though attachments are like an abyss

We find it difficult to let them go.

As weighty as a mountain,

they close the inner heart

And throw the key in a pit of uncertainty.

Harboring such malice,

We see that life’s journey is long

And the bitterness, spiciness, sorrow and pain within

Only the traveller knows.
