Among the Wild HeatherA Poem by Gaia OctaviaHere within the mist, where woodland creatures roam, is where my song is sung in this place I feel at home Under woven shafts of sunlight tracing shapes of warm, pressed earth, I give myself in sacrifice and witness my rebirth
'Cross the breadths of endless moors where the wild heather grows, my peaceful soul ascends on the wings of pretty prose
It is only here, alone, that I am truly free, where the mighty oaks all bend and give audience to me
