The Big Empty

The Big Empty

A Poem by Gaia Octavia

Scattered promises,
shattered dreams,
rips and tears
of hopeless things.

Fluid fire,
hardened ice,
this heart of stone
a heavy price.

Shifting fear,
prickling need,
scratching, clawing,
make it bleed.

Kill desire,
stay at home:
nothing, no one,
and alone.
