Melody

A Poem by Douglas Levi Gribbins

For through the pain You have listened

You’re lips,heart was my mission

It seems every hour I’m sitting

It’s a promise’s throat you are slitting

But it’s okay, you will see

My dear, as I count to three

Listen closely through the screams

I whisper “For now, I am finally free...”
