Stranger

Stranger

A Poem by Garima Mukherjee
"

This poem is about love at first sight.

"
Did he see my face?
Only a while
With a painted face of a liar's soul
But did he see me?
It looked like he was searching
He was searching, then he found himself
Like I found myself
My story written on my face
You made me very easy to read
You must have seen me.
A while now too soon to end
Not a word spoken but a thousand wished.
Oh! The beauty of a second of a hard fall
We fell slowly and never landed
For a smile I gave, you gave too much in return
I'll remember you, stranger.

'Did he see my face....But did he see me? It looked like he was searching' I thought these were the best lines I have come across today, amazing writing and thought.
Now this might have been a unique creativ choice to change 'he' to 'you' midway through the poem and I am just learning to read and appreciate poetry. So let me know if you did it for giving an auxillary effectit to your writing. ☺
