Remembering the past...

Cloudy sky over me stood

It didn't make a sound, but it looked like it should

How can you do this, pretend its all the same?

That it was worth it, when it wasn't even fair

After all these years, how could you forget?

That feeling you gave me, without a pinch of regret

Over me stood, a cloudy sky

It didn't make a sound, but it made me cry.

Well for someone who doesn't really write poems you did a good job :) See I'm different I don't usually write stories, I'm more of a poet. I just haven't had the time to write anything. I'm trying to write at the moment but am drawing a blank /:

Cant write if you aren't troubled enough to do it. At least for me, which is why anything longer than a story is hard to finish. Poems are awesome but I think too much on technicalities that it takes my mind of the feelings that I want to put into it. Stories are much more satisfying for me at the time, alot more personal too. Hope you find your inspiration ^^

Ah well my poems, really don't follow the "normal rules" for poetry. I guess mine is more free styled prose? I'm not sure, you could take a look if you'd like. And well the thing is I always write well not exactly happy stuff but I'm never really as sad as my poems portray. Im actually a happy person lol. So my poems are never really about me haha and yeah me too I haven't written anything in forever and it sucks. Im also working on trying to write a "novel" I suppose. But who knows when that will be done haha

Well my novel isn't posted because I don't want to get anybody's hopes up lol. I could probably email it to you someday, but eh it's ok. I too have the same problem, I have so many novels I've started but never got around to finishing any.

In the beginning of this verse... your approach I thought was a subconscious one... a cloud hovers over and then you lay it out with the second stanza... and the last stanza does not reflect that... as the cloud is a reminder of the your past... yet did not share your same feeling... wanting to cry... or rain down the event...
