Fire and Forever

Imagine me looking at the photos

seeing her face

so happy and in love

Knowing

that he doesn't have a deep burning

passionate love for her

He loves her

He does

Don't mistake that

But she's not his fire -

I am

I always will be

but

she is his forever

Something I could never be

She can endure

What I could not permit

and now

She endures

and I

watch from outside looking in

with head hung in prayer
