Inspired by Depression

Inspired by Depression

A Poem by Gaurav
"

No need to wait for miracles...sadness is the tool

"
In a far far universe away
someone like me  does not die
in excitement to see the world
someone like me does not live...

His happiness is unknown to him
and sadness is a tranquility to heart
when some rock cries in another dimension
He hugs it and feel enlightened..

I met Him through dreams
when a proverb of Greek Gods
"everything in moderation"
from His mouth
cleanse my soul, tormented demons..

I got up infinite mornings
only to die in the night
but when He killed my dreams
my eyes never shut...

Now i am awake in sadness
and cry in God's proximity
'cause there is none
who gets happy to find a bliss

I'm 60 & about half the time I've been depressed. I've often credited my suicidal tendencies as the thing that has kept me alive all this time. It's cool to see someone write something of a similar idea. Your descriptions of depression are very unusual & original . . . some I recognize, others I do not. There's a flat tone to this writing that's realistic becuz depression is often not dramatic or full of tears, but just like flatlining the life out us.

This is very relate able.Sometimes I feel depressed and what keeps me going is that I know this is a temporary feeling that will fade away with time and It does get better :).
Thank you for sharing :)!

I can understand. Happiness and sadness are relatively impermanent, yet sadly recurring.

Woo, that's kind of trippy. The flow and your brilliant use of varied vocabulary works together to make this one amazing poem!
My favorite part: "I got up infinite mornings; only to die in the night"
