A heart kissed by hope(spring)

A heart kissed by hope(spring)

A Poem by Gee
"

Musing on the changing seasons of yesteryear

"
At last a sign that Winter's through
a songbird on a bough
that greets the lazy rising sun
as only it knows how,
with song that pierces morning air
to hang in fading mist
the farm hand smiles his spirits raised
his heart by hope now kissed,
a hope that lighter, longer days
be dry and winds be stilled
and backs be eased by warming rays
as fields are slowly tilled.

What wonderful words! That is the past that should be the present and future, Gee. You've written so many fine poems over the years, this just might be the best!

Is worth hugging to the heart and spirit.

Not sure how I missed this delighftul paean to the birthing of spring, the loveliest and most re-affirming of the seasons.

Enough to say I am guilty of been somewhat absent of late from the cafe.

Trust you and yours are enjoying the heatwave.

Beccy.

This poem is absolutely beautiful—so vivid and tender in its imagery. The gentle shift from winter to spring is captured with such grace, especially through the songbird’s call and the farmhand’s quiet joy. It’s both hopeful and grounding, like a soft breath of fresh morning air. Lovely work!

What a beautifully written piece — it captures the quiet joy of nature's subtle promises and the relief that comes with winter’s end. The imagery of the songbird, the rising sun, and the farmhand's smile brings such a tender, hopeful warmth. Thank you for sharing this serene glimpse of spring’s arrival — it reads like a gentle sigh of the earth awakening.

Hi Gee, hope you got better from shoulder pain. I just I am whatever I am doing only to make better from suffering not. Any wrong decision just impacts so much in one thing or other. I never wish wrong to any. What is that I would get by doing wrong. I just want this time shall pass with a beautiful new born so that no lady still ogles him. I wish he focus on it. Money career just nothing. People around kids in family take more care protection than anything around and their parents.

Just a matter of 5 to 7 yrs more. If this passes this tough time goes off.

Hope you understand.

Thank you for understanding me

A short and sweet write here...
kinda sums up the changing of the seasons in the UK...

I liked these two lines:

and backs be eased by warming rays
as fields are slowly tilled.
