At The priory Window

At The priory Window

A Poem by George Coombs
"

This one links with a period I spent in Ayelsford Priory in Kent,Emgland some years ago The priory is linked with The Carmelite order

"

At The Priory Window

branches beckon

"Come, nature

awaits you

you here among

among walls steeped

in reverence”

aware of

a higher life

flowing like

the river here

where the heart cry

transcends

institutional religion

nature

innocence

one with creation

now, the present

moment

to be still

and know...

No religion can transcend the enthrallingly incomparable wonders and beauty God bestowed upon the world, and if human nature were to live life according to God's Nature of flora and fauna, we'd need no countless numbers of multi-million dollar or multi million British sterling structures in which to spout diatribes of controlling, mind conditioning religious rote, while children and the less fortunate among us starve and go homeless.
Ah, but my soapbox grows weary from the wretched weight.
Yes, to know the quiet, soothing paradise of Nature's own cathedral … now, that, My Friend, is the ultimate heaven on earth.
Bless you and thank you, George, for writing and sharing this beautifully rendered piece … you've a fine mind and heart, with eyes that know and see far more than what's visible.

This, obviously, deeply touched my heart and soul! ⁓ Richard : )

psst!
George, check this for repeats:
awaits you
you here among
among walls steeped
in reverence”
