You Are...

A poem that reflects the similarities between a beautiful woman and a beautiful sunrise.

YOU ARE...

 

You are the light

  resting on the awakening trees.

You are the dew

  upon the fresh, green leaves.

 

The stars flicker goodbye

  with the coming of your presence.

The air becomes filled

  with your warm and silken fragrance.

 

The birds fly with joy

  as the clouds make way

  for an early morning symphony

    hailing another beautiful day.

 

The colors then explode,

  a crescendo beyond expectation.

A radiant image emerges

  that fills me with excitation.

 

You are the dawn.

You are the light.

You are the beauty.

You are my life.

This is the kind of poetry I can get into. Of course we lovers of romance can easily see a woman as a beautiful sunrise or any number of other breath-taking sights. A flower, the sea, etc---no comparison can be too exagerated. Good rhyming, good meter and an outstanding message. All in all, a delight to read.

Sunshine is truly one of the perfect things to compare the beauty of a woman to. There is just so much energy in the sun which can be equated to the beauty and love she possesses. Just like the sun, that beauty and love radiate encapsulating those lucky enough, with bliss.

I think you could have left out the explanation and allowed the reader to delve into the interpretation but thats just me....your words were lovely and worthy of both such beautiful subjects.
