A love that once was

A love that once was

A Poem by Ghosty Writer

In a quiet town where whispers dwell,
Two hearts once danced in a gentle spell,
Under moonlit skies and starry nights,
Their souls entwined in soft delights.

They spoke in shadows, shared secret dreams,
Built castles on hope’s fragile beams,
Promised forever in silent vows,
Felt eternity in each other's now.

But time, unkind, began to fade,
The colors dimmed, the promises swayed,
Love's bright flame grew faint and blue,
Leaving only memories- faded and askew.

And in the end, as silence grew,
They parted ways, no words to pursue,
But it’s just so sad the story isn’t true,
Because love is dead, in the world we knew-
Yet we still pretend, just me and you.
