Chapter 1 The News

 "Layla Carla Smith do you have any idea for what you just did?" Mom scolded. I accidently loaded the dishwasher and put a little too much soap in. "Well mom! If you would have been by my side when I did, this probably wouldn't had happened!" I back talked. Mom sighed deeply and walked away.

 Like anything I did was my fault. Well, I mean it was. But, she's just never by my side to help me when I get in a substancial mess like I am today. You know? To tell you the truth, she's NEVER by my side anymore!
