Why Can't They See?

Why Can't They See?

A Poem by Himaya Ka
"

Come on, big buddy, you got it wrongly.

"
WHY CAN'T THEY SEE?

Hugging both knees so tightly
Sobbing like a hungry baby
What's wrong with me
Why can't they see

A newborn babe in a cradle
So cute and adorable
Catches everyone's attention
Receives all the affection

Pretending to sneeze and to cough
Yet it's not good enough
Still rejected and ignored
Feeling forgotten and unloved

Come on, big buddy
You got it wrongly
It's time to grow up
So pick yourself up

In the last verse the speaker appears to engage in a self directed locker room speech. Sometimes that's just what we need. Self pity has a very brief shelf life.

"Sometimes that's just what we need." Absolutely! Thank you, Sir!
