Words

No beauty can compare to such a form,
No melody can match such a sound,
And yet you sting with such venom
And you leave compassion behind

 

You abandon words that i long to hear
Yet you fail to comprehend the pain,
That you have caused in silence.
Oh how i long to hear just three
That will exult me so

 

I do not blame you, for you do not know,
Yet my darling I yearn
For those words that caress.

I will sacrifice all

But I must know.
Do you love me?
Or are they just words that melt in the snow?

I've often thought that it is a shame that if you have to ask for the words they become meaningless as soon as you hear them.

Its not so much asking for just the words. Its wanting to go back to a time when they were meant. A time when there was no confusion over our feelings. The words I need to hear are those that reassure. I agree if you ask for them originally then they are worthless but I'm asking for a time I associated with them.
