A young mother goes to her rest, and father drawn into alcohol, upsets the nest. Leaves six, small children, ages four to fourteen, confusion for these young-ones about to be seen. Aunts and uncles, foster homes ensue, the courts, and separations, an adoption, too. But relatives didn't do as much as they could, while others didn't think, "We even should." This all happened in nineteen hundred forty-eight, these siblings have grown from that date. Beautiful little girls and handsome little boys, might never recapture lost childhood joys. And, three brothers never had a chance to teach pretty little sisters just how to dance. The stories of their lives, so separately-led, without a doubt, need to be read. This little family, victims to circumstance, after lo-on-many-years, have taken a stance. Most importantly to each one of these six, the system, and their children will never mix! Their families will grow up in units which are whole, all have set this as a primary goal. Their children will never experience, a Life sans family assurance. All six have grown to be strong adults, childhoods, though sorrowful, produced results. These six children definitely agree, victims to this circumstance, no place to be. © 2008 Virginia Muller |
