Sing my little nightingale

So that I can hear your beautiful voice

So that my heart can start to rejoice

So that the world can stop the noise

 

Sing my little nightingale

I want to hear your beautiful sound

Because all day you make me proud

And it is because of you that the world I trounce

 

Sing my little nightingale

Speak out all your thoughts

Let it hurt the unbroken and heal the broken

Sweet or sour I will always listen to you

Author's Note

Okay this is the time i must have felt really depressed and ignored for the first time because this is the first poem i ever penned in my life, when i was really young. For long i have just been keeping it in my shelve and today it hit me that i should share my first seed with the world. I know it's really short but hope you enjoy it... Cheers.

Ode to a Nightingale by John Keats is one of my favorite poems, i read like a couple of weeks ago...i always have a thing for Nightingale poems pretty much made me to always view myself as a Nightingale lol...Thanks Leslie...

This is wonderful! Some of the rhymes are forced, yes, but it's much better than my first poem, so kudos for that. I can connect with a lot of the feelings I see in the poem, though, so overall, great poem- you must have been a sweet child :) The innocence inbetween the poems is a fresh touch too.

I liked it. I have a few poems laying around I wrote when I was small, too, but they're written in horrible scribbles even I can't read. I thought it'd be cool to turn the word "speak" into "beak" third line up from the bottom, it'd have the same meaning and shapes the thoughts a little.

Awwh, I do think that you had this was beautifully penned! You done an excellent job! It doesn't matter if it's a little short. Writing real and true poetry doesn't matter what size or length of its structures. I love the rhymes and the on-going flow too! I think that this is one of your best poems too! Keep writing and continuing the outstanding poetry! :D

There is a sweetness about this poem that makes me think you were a child ~~~a mightily gifted child~~~when you penned this. Its charm way overcomes any lack of continuity in its rhyme scheme and its rhythm. I'm glad you chose to share this today, there must always be room in this world for innocence and little nightingales who sing their songs even above scenes of devastation.
Thank you very much for letting this one out of its cage! You did indeed cheer my day with this!

Thank you so much Spiritwind for this overwhelming review...when i posted this piece i was not sure if it'd get even a comment lol as much as i love it but i am so much in high spirits knowing that you guys found a special place in your heart for it too. I agree with you, i think people should let that first bird they wrote as a kid out of the cage to the world...no matter how a bit wreck-ish it may be, i think it'd still special...it is like the first love.
