Gone For Days

Years pass by, and I still can't get close to you.
I keep on running, and I keep my head above the ground,
But I still look for you, and then I wonder why you won't go away.
Every hit is just a taste, something scares me in this thought,
Of all the things I need to face, it's all so fake.
"It's okay" A voice says "We'll look elsewhere"
It's true, I look elsewhere for you.
It's all so fake, but I've still been gone for many days.
