Since Everyone I LoveA Poem by GlaxoCruxA love poem, sorta, to all my friends and family, living and dead...Since everyone I love is dead or dying I take up the burden of tending to ghosts All bells sound suspiciously Like voices the dead have lost
The fantasy of life is easily shaken Loose from a mortal grip Ghosts nag discordantly for want of a body Bodies turn pale and sick
The dead I collect are like stones in the skull A heft of souls on the brain Black-hearted angels offer no assistance In making them sleep again
So I find no exception for the illusory assumption That there exists an ethereal plan Alone I reap time-sown wraiths Hell pungent on my hands
God that maggot desires corpses The warmth of blood on his breath Like a drooling infant he brims in his glory As his human toys all break
