A Prayer

11-16-12 There is soo much that I cannot put into words that the Holy Spirit is speaking on my behalf, but here is a prayer

Here I am praying

Lord help me through this pain

Grant me wisdom in the path to take

And preserve my life, for your names sake[i]

 

Lord I cry out to you now

I pray for your mercy

Lavish it upon me in my time of need

Don’t withhold an answer from me

 

I’m crying to you Father

Only you know my heart

Heal it and strengthen it

And give me life in your love

 

I trust you my sovereign Lord

But in my heart there is turmoil

This is not what I want but

Nonetheless I will delight in you

 

In your word it says

“Delight yourself in the Lord and he

will give you the desires of your heart”[ii]

In that I will put my hope

 

To you I put my hope and trust

That somehow this will all work out

Because you are working for the good

Of those called, according to your purpose[iii]

 

I can’t help but pray Lord

Please grant me another chance

To truly honor and cherish the woman

That you so graciously blessed me with

 

I know I’ve made mistakes Father

But with your loving guidance

This could all work out

For you are the author and perfecter[iv]
