Here I Stand

Here I stand with arms at my side, completely defeated

Sulking in the sheer feeling of overwhelming inferiority

Completely limp from the sorrows of this war.

 

Here I stand with face down casted, utterly alone

Lost in this uncontrollable psychotic chaos

Suffering in the unseen solemn darkness.

 

Here I stand with eyes empty, absolutely drained

Doubts tainting as they swarm through my mind

Forsaken by those thought to be my closest.

 

Here I stand with head slowly raising, heart pulsating

            Something trying to push through the darkness

            An unnoticed force trying to make itself known

 

Here I stand with a bit of hope, a tint of light

A chance for something better  

            A renewed drive to fight.

Author's Note

Inferiority is suppose to be up with the line "Sulking in the sheer feeling of overwhelming", but do to line restraints it cant be. :(
