Feelings I guess

I really need to write more, I'm losing my touch. I find that laziness is not a friend. So this is a poem that I guess is more about my feelings than anything. Hence why it isn't that good. 7-10-11

How long must this go on,

If it isn’t this it’s that

How long must I wait

To get my happiness back

 

Weighed down by all this grim

Waiting for the sun to shine

Weighed down and beat up,

Waiting for a breakthrough

 

Tired of all the doubt

I’m not trying to pout

But I just don’t know

How long I can go with the flow

 

Trying to keep myself afloat

As I’m slowly drowning inside

Taking on water from the tears that wont flow

Wishing that change didn’t happen so slow

 

I cry out to God to answer my prayer

I know I’m meant for so much more

I cry out asking to be better

I cry out asking for things to make sense.

 

I plead for understanding

Of this mess I find myself caught in

Struggling to catch my breath,

Struggling to rest in peace
