Bloodlust hunger

Bloodlust hunger

A Poem by GoldenLights

I'll play the wolf, you’ll run like prey.

I'll stay vicious from night to day.

If I howl at the moon, it will howl right back.

I play my games, these hearts will stack.

I roam in the woods just to add suspense.

I have a silent bite that makes screams condense.

So sing those songs and bear your arms.

When these fires burn dull I aim to harm.

You will be hidden with no time to run.

I smell your blood, reload your guns.

The shadows linger, the floorboards creak.

Scared to look behind you, I’m the monster that creeps.

I pant at the feeling of your deep breathes.

One look in these eyes, you’re consumed by dread.

I’m quick to strike, I feed off fright.

These claws are rage, these teeth are might.

A lone man screams, the night sky moans.

Shotgun goes off, I’ve found my home.

Your skin was but a shell and I longed for your bones.

Faith was your king but you’ve been dethroned.

Simon, very interesting piece; I liked it! It flows very nicely and has imagery appropriately horrifying. Nice job!
