Rainy Day

wrote this right before the Christmas holiday season

 

Rainy Day

It's 6 am and outside it's raining,

looks like a day for maybe reading a book,

should go to the gym, keep up my training,

getting older now it's hard to maintain that look,

The Holidays are approaching way too fast,

and so is the time for paying those taxes,

hurt my arm and now I'm wearing a cast,

trying to pay bills and answering faxes,

maybe I'll bake some cookies or pie,

might even consider some Hungarian stew,

feeling kinda sad and I don't know why,

maybe it's because I'm missing you

I'm also part hungarian, but I've never had hungarian stew... I don't think lol.
I enjoyed this, and it is actually raining right now!! Unfortunately I have to work.
And how the heck do you wake up at 6 am?!

I like how this poem portrays how the human mind actually thinks. Almost in a stream of consciousness sort of manner.

The only question I have...
You have the first word in the first stanza capitalized and the first in the second stanza, but not the third stanza. Those are the only words as well. I'm not sure if that was done purposefully or if you had note taken note. Just pointing that out to you.

Otherwise, impressive. I enjoyed it.

It's amazing. No matter how busy we get, no matter how hard we try to preoccupy our minds; at the end of the day, that lonely feeling of missing someone catches up, and we find ourselves again thinking of that one person..
