Dance With Me

Dance With Me

A Poem by Gomer LePoet
"

I just wanna dance

"

Dance with Me

God knows what a sinner I am, He knows I am a fool,

I can take bones that break, but my tears can fill a pool,

why does he give me a heart, that breaks so easily and hard,

please don't walk away my love, I need you on my dance card

please take me into your arms, hold me, hold me tight,

dance with me my lovely one, dance with me all night,

spin me round and round, like you do with my mind,

no never leave my heart alone, I'm not that hard to find

In no way am I perfect, I have so many flaws,

dance with me, hold me tight, brace me from the falls,

needing so bad your perfect mind, you give me inspiration,

since we met I haven't been the same, that's my explanation

This is an interesting poem. And I mean that in the best possible way. The way in which you incorporate the concepts of love, loss, God, fear and vulnerability, into dancing, is very interesting. But dance, in a way, is a good example. Because though simple on the surface, there are so many complexities. The footing, the timing, the intricate moves... Overall an excellent write.

good, but i felt like it could have been better. the 1st and 3rd stanzas were great, but you should look at the 2nd again.
I love the ''explanation''
:)
keep writing!
