Lost

no direction no desire

 

Lost

a piece now has gone the passion now is lost

replaced with hollow words from my lips

maintaining was just too much too high a cost

and now I feel from my grasp it slips

words that we all know too well in this life

pain, sorrow, emptiness, frustration, strife,

friend, madness, insanity, greed, pathetic, sad,

numbness, right, wrong, thoughtless, bad

 

uninspired with empty thoughts of where I go

feeling seasons change winter's chill and frost

time will somehow repair this heart I know

now I am plain and simple, just simply lost
