Fixing a Hole

Fixing a Hole

A Poem by Gomer LePoet
"

A bad leak has devolped

"

Fixing a Hole

the word according to Paul was that he was fixing a hole

the rain was getting in and stoping his mind from wondering

I have discovered a similiar hole but it is inside my soul

and the rain is not getting in but my dreams are seeping

I have tried bandages of all sorts of types to stop this leak

but as the days pass by I can feel the expansion instead

I walked passed a mirror and decided to take a tiny peek

and now begins the battles of survival in my head

I've figured out that this is not a hole that can be fixed

I will have to find a way of living with this lost memory

my feelings of desperation and other feelings mixed

there is no way to satisfy no way that I can see

maybe Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band

will sing me away to a room thats freshly painted

or maybe I can just go to the beach and play in the sand

find a carousel to ride where my memories are not tainted

I could use a week off to gather my mind at the beach. Too much work had made me very tire. I don't know. I believe take a lot of good days to replace the bad. A excellent poem. Thank you.

Missing memories seems like a very painful situation when you know you are missing them. You're missing a part of yourself. This rings a bit sadly, the pain of missing part of oneself. Great job.

Memories are not meant to be lost,
memory is an organism's ability to store, retain, and recall information and experiences.
So I think one should enjoy and embrace ones memories. Yes some are bad and some are good, I say throw the bad ones to the back and remember the good.
You seem to always look at the positive side of things, so find the positive in the memories.
Sometimes memories is all we have left so we need to hang onto them.

Nice poem and rhyming, but sad
Thanks for sharing with me

this last line sounded like the problem and the solution to my mind "find a carousel to ride where my memories are not tainted"

felt like the hole was trying to relive the past and condemning the present in mind....never feeling whole...

the write was insightful, simple and poetic.
thank you for sending.
