surpise the magic is inside

 

Magic Box

I have this secret box

where wonderful surprises appear

day after day I look inside

to see what magic has arrived

magic things that pull my strings

and help me to see clear

it is a strange day indeed

when I look and find nothing inside

msytical words and heavenly thoughts

sometimes perfect art

music that does capture the ear

and send my soul aloft

incredible views of natures beauty

that penetrates the heart

gazing down on a beautiful face

with lips so very soft

today like any other day

I have rushed to peek inside

but this is one of those days

where dissapointment grows

little of any consequence

or interest has me satisfied

today the Magic Box is empty

Im sure my sadness shows

I suppose this is the relization

that before was just a dream

that magic only appears to those

that are looking for a star

to wish upon and dream about

this digital super stream

if the magic should reappear

I will secure it in a jar

I'm still trying to grow the money tree. I like the poem. We all could use a magic box. We all need some hope and surprises in a life. Great description and I like the ending. A excellent poem.

This is wonderful Gomer, hmmmm that is very strange, because today I was thinking nearly the same thing.
