Is it real or is it not????

 

Poetic license

let me first apolgize if I have ever made you mad

I am a story teller and I tend to stretch the truth

sometimes my stories may make you think that I am sad

and maybe even sometimes just somewhat uncouth

I am a thought stream writer just as most of you

I try to entertain you at least that's my general plan

although the theme is surely real most of it is untrue

like most my real life is not really all that grand

I tend to embelish add concepts to make you think

boring thoughts and words or just exactly that

it seems to make it easier of I help out with a drink

it loosens up the mental tongue unless I drink a vat

so based upon this information I have passed along

am I now once again just pulling your proverbial leg

have I guzzled some courage or taken a hit from a bong

to pen these latest thoughts or is it simple dreg

you see once again I have made you scratch your head

is that word really a word or something I made up

you might have to look it up or blow it off instead

I keep a Poetic lIcense in the bottom of my cup
