Lost Passion

there is friendship and I believe it is special

there is love of this there is no denial

but the passion has died a sad sad death

there has been a sentence so I guess there was a trial

the words no longer contain that burning fire

pleasantries are now shared sincerily I believe

wishes are made for true happiness each day

the desire is here I feel but no longer shared

so the words are no longer spoken

and now the tingling sensations are gone

for the best most likely common sense

but nothing can replace the passion lost
