ShatteredA Poem by Gomer LePoetWindows of the mindShattered
the stones have rolled away leaving nothing but despair the bones have been shattered leaving skin and hair tye-dyed acid dripping through the ruins left behind colors of the rainbows ending floating through my mind
I reached out for heaven and was accepted for a while the words of shared soft steamy showers made me smile but as quickly as the heat arrived vanished in the cold slipping through my fingers like quicksilver's gold
wrapped in black velvet like a little boy's dreams man on the mountain pleading with crying screams with a poker face the pleading very gently rebuked but the sickness still there even after the subject puked
those eyes penetrating completely through my head now those eyes have closed leaving the body dead the dreams of Nirvana now thoroughly scattered leaving nothing behind this world has been shattered
