Still Raining Still DreamingA Poem by Gomer LePoetgroovin on a rainy day with JimiStill Raining Still Dreaming
let me see if I can get my groove on even though it's raining I still can dream Jimi said it best on his visit to Ladyland he was moving to the Electricity in the stream
the remark that he was having too much confusion sharing the taste of his herb with businessmen he walked his trippin walk all along the watchtower dodging the crosstown traffic of there and then
the voodoo child with those burning gypsy eyes stood up next to the mountain and chopped it down as the moon turns the tides slowly and gently away with the edge of his left hand he tipped his crown
he kept the strings wailing and crying so deep while someone's house was burning hellfire red the gods made love and the wind was crying Mary the purple haze was not in his but in my brain instead
