Every Morning and Every Night

every morning starts with a kiss from your soft sweet lips

every night ends with a hug and a caring kiss goodnight

everytime I look at you my heart skips serveral beats

every day I bow my head in thanks for your smile so bright

you are such a gift and I cherish every moment that we share

dreams are made from thoughts like this at the end of the day

words are all I have to show you just how much I care

I try to think of things to make your life better in any way

yes you are on my mind almost every waking moment

makes it hard to concentrate sometimes I drift away

another picture of you in my head that brings me a smile

the two of us rolling around and laughing in a stack of hay

my day would be sad and lonely if you were not here

you break through all the darkness and show me the light

your kindness is so complete you give it without fear

yes you are the one I think of every morning and every night

What a lovely way to wake up in the mornings and an awesome ending to a night.

"you break through all the darkness and show me the light" wow if that was the only line in the poem, it would have been just fine. That line pulls it all together. Helps make this poem what is, amazingly beautifully heartfelt.
