The Penalty Box

The Penalty Box

A Poem by Gomer LePoet
"

and the buzzer sounds

"

The Penalty Box

if at first you don't succeed

bang your head and make it bleed

until your thoughts have been decreed

no you cannot give up just suck another seed

if you give away your heart and soul

you blame no one cause you have control

you can run and hide put your head in a hole

pretend you are searching for the dead sea scroll

you have to accept the consequence

if you climb over the painted picket fence

you expect us to believe you're really that dense

I know people who will kick your a*s for a mere sixpence

value's gone down just like the stocks

you're a flannel plaid suit with white sweat sox

doesn't matter her beauty even if you think she's a fox

she'll give a high stick and hip check you into the penalty box
