Ice Cream Man

Ice Cream Man

A Story by Gomer LePoet
"

those were the good ole days

"

Ice Cream Man

remember when you were just a kid

just as the days began getting longer

everyday in the early afternoon

you waited with anticipation

for the sound of the bell

you went running towards the house

yelling "ice cream man" "ice cream man"

mom can I have a fudge bar

oh how about a drumstick

we would sit around with the stuff

just running all over our faces

big smiles on our sticky faces

no cares or worries on those faces

wish those days could return

when we were excited about something

so simple as the "Ice Cream Man"

Great piece. The years where we were innocent and thought nothing bad happened. That we were invincible.

The days of youth. When we needed only a free day and the simple pleasures of friends and if we were lucky. A cold and tasty ice cream. Thank you the good memory and excellent poem.
