Cabin FeverA Poem by Gomer LePoetshake it looseCabin Fever
I've got cabin fever so locked up inside I need to find a way to let it all hang loose turn the music loud and do the electric slide shake my arms and legs and even my caboose
sometimes the heart just needs some time to work through the thoughts that bring pain reaching inside to find yourself is not a crime sometimes it's just so hard to see through the rain
but I have seen the sun peeking from behind and his ray of smiles is helping me unfold just like the sunflowers I sometimes find waking from the winters chill and the freezing cold
a little bird whispered softly to my heart saying you will be alright just keep the faith strong and though that bird soars high she's still a part cause when she comes to me she sings a loving song
so now I stand and stretch reaching for the stars I'm searching for the magic button or lever that will loose me from these confining bars time to rise and shine and shake this cabin fever
