I am 100 percent a man let me make that clear

you can be the one who's right when I say so my dear

I always know what I'm doing I never make a mistake

and when I do it was intentional just so I can take a break

oh I can be quite pleasant when I get the urge

but you don't want to be around me when I decide to purge

I can throw a tantrum just like a spoiled child

I'll curse and stomp my feet and go completely wild

sometimes I am a conniving b*****d so I can get my way

when I get in this mood there is nothing you can say

if you try to point that out I will turn it back on you

I am a master at this ploy there is nothing you can do

oh I have a conscience and sometimes I actually feel guilt

but I am a man it will not linger that's the way I'm built

I will laugh it off and pretend like it really matters to me

but I am working on a newer plan a better one you see

the truth is if I can actually say it out loud and clear

my insecurity in my own self is the thing I most fear

I grew older and bigger at least physically you see

I really am that little boy crying for his mommy

so if I seem insensitive it's because I try so hard to be

man up and take it don't come whimpering to me

now there's a phrase I should adopt but then I'd have to grow

don't let me play you anymore my friend because now you know

The comment below worded it best, when he said "intense" This is a hard one to critique. It really walks the tightrope between humor and gravity. I want to laugh, but yet, man, this piece is almost too grounded for that! Nicely done

WOW!! Im not really sure what to say about this one. I love the rhyming and the flow.
I have known alot of people that you describe here, both men and women. So if this is true for you, your not alone. Oh and yes I admit to being some of this, just not gonna say which one(s) lol

It portrays a very real way of looking at how SOME men can be, this is a very good write, it gives a deeper emotion is this writing which I love.
