time for a laugh

This one is for you

went to the doctor the other day

signed in early cause that's my way

40 minutes later I'm still here sitting

guess I should have brought along some knitting

back to the desk to see if something was wrong

why have I been waiting for oh so long

the lady in charge her hair piled high on her head

looked up over her glasses and calmly said

excuse me sir but we paged you before

why didn't you respond it was 10 past 4

I said you must be kidding I've been right here

no one called me let me make it clear

another 10 minutes they called me once more

took me down this darkened corridor

set me on a exam bed said the doc will be here

took my blood pressure and looked in my ear

15 minutes later I'm beginning to doze

sitting here waiting just wiggling my toes

finally the door opens and in walks the doc

looks at me then looks at the clock

he says it's getting late let's make this quick

I said it isn't my fault and I don't give a lick

I want a total and complete exam

don't give me that look like you don't give a damn

he says you're kind of testy are you calling me lazy

if you want my opinion I think you are crazy

I said I'd like a 2^nd opinion if it's ok with you

he said alright then you're butt ugly too

so that is my story trying to make you laugh

this was only the beginning I got another half

so that's the way the day went and the next one too
