Her Whispered Words

Her Whispered Words

A Poem by Gomer LePoet

Her Whispered Words

her whispered words echo in my head

her beauty drives me to the edge

her smile paints a new Mona Lisa

her lips are forbidden ground

we share longing glances

I say I want you so bad

I need you even more

a tear forms in her eye

she softly touches my hand

and says but you can't have me

her whispered words echo in my head

I've seen this happen quite a bit and it really does suck. Reminds me of a girl who likes this guy, but she loves this other one..

It seems that man, at times, is more attracted to what he can't have than what he can. This poem expresses well the longing and enchantment for a woman whom he can't have, for whatever reason. A nicely written piece!

Such a bittersweet love poem. Well written as usual. Keep up the amazing work.

Unrequited love. This just has a nice profound flow. The brevity works well here!
